The Crisis Prevention Institute's Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge required to respond early and effectively, to prevent or defuse a behavioral escalation. Participants will learn a range of preventative strategies, de-escalation techniques, and communication skills to reduce the risk of injury and maintain the student's dignity.

This is a one day class focused on verbal de-escalation skills. Participants will not learn or be certified in the use of physical interventions or restraints.
