The focus of this workshop is on appropriate use of PSW assessment procedures to identify specific learning disabilities in California, with an emphasis on Dehn’s PSW model. The webinar includes updated recommendations for conducting a defensible multi-battery assessment of learning-related cognitive abilities followed by guidance on how to identify statistically significant strengths and weaknesses and how to determine when a PSW supports identification of a specific learning disability. Recommendations for using Dehn’s PSW software are also included. The workshop concludes with a brief review of evidence-based interventions for processing deficits.
