Intended Audience: Paraprofessionals/Instructional Assistants who support students in inclusive settings.  Staff who support and/or supervise paraprofessionals/Instructional Assistants.

This training will focus on best practices for supporting students with special needs in inclusive settings.  Information provided will include the following: inclusive education-the what and the why, understanding the paraeducator role in the general education classroom, increasing student independence, supporting peer relationships, and how cognitive development supports learning, communication, and behavior.
