Parent Workshop: The Power of Positive Parenting
Empathy, positive language, and focused attention through play are parents' best strategies in raising connected and happy children.  Positive parenting strategies lay the groundwork for our children's self-esteem, help develop better relationships and improve child behavior.

Presenter: Dr. Janet Stier, Ph.D.
Janet Stier, Ph.D. is a clinical child psychologist in private practice in the Santa Clarita Valley, where she specializes in early childhood and family therapy. Dr. Stier also directs the Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Initiative, which seeks to improve the social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental health of preschool-aged children through early childhood educator professional trainings, parent education, and programmatic and family consultations.
