There is an increasing number of culturally and linguistically diverse students who are English Learners in America's schools; many of these students come from underserved, under resourced communities. Professionals frequently experience challenges with differentiating language differences from Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) in EL students who are struggling in school. This workshop addresses nonbiased assessment strategies and materials that can be used to differentiate language differences from DLD in EL students from any linguistic background.
