This refresher course is for staff members who have completed the NCI course in the past 2 years and would like to renew their NCI certification.

The Crisis Prevention Institute’s enhanced Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge required to respond early and effectively, allowing the staff member to prevent or defuse a behavioral escalation. Participants will learn a range of preventative strategies, de-escalation skills, communication skills, and physical interventions to reduce the risk of injury and maintain the student's dignity.
